Advancing Climate-Smart Agriculture: A State-of-the-Art Analysis of TVET Programs and Good Practices
The focus is on the identification and review of existing TVET programs related to Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and sustainable agriculture in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. The research collects and compares good practices for CSA implementation, aiming to improve the integration of sustainable agricultural practices into TVET systems.
A needs analysis will be conducted in local contexts to identify gaps and opportunities in TVET programs, ensuring these programs address specific challenges and leverage opportunities for advancing CSA and sustainable practices. Additionally, a comparative review of enabling policy frameworks in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa will be carried out to explore commonalities and differences in policy approaches. This review will result in recommendations for policy development aimed at supporting modernized TVET skills in CSA and other sustainable practices.
The outcomes of this research will be synthesized in a handbook. The handbook will provide an overview of current best practices, key challenges and opportunities, and policy recommendations for advancing TVET programs in Climate-Smart Agriculture.
